Bill Foltz has been named Chief Executive Officer of ocVIBE. In his new role, Foltz will oversee the planning, strategic vision and development of ocV!BE, our one-of-a-kind, mixed-use, master-planned community and entertainment district, as well as leading the business initiatives of Honda Center and the company’s Sports Division.
Foltz previously served as Chief Operating Officer of ocV!BE, responsible for the day-to-day operations and all enterprise-wide business functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal. He led all aspects of financing the development of the 95-acre ocVIBE, including real estate operations as phases of the mixed-use community project continue.
“Bill has had an integral role to-date in many areas of ocVIBE, and we are fortunate to have him leading us forward,” said Michael Schulman, Chairman of the Board. “He has over three successful decades of experience in the industry and will continue keeping us on track toward developing our expansive project.”
Foltz has extensive experience over a 35-year career that covers professional sports, hospitality, private equity and consumer products. Most recently, Foltz served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Anaheim Ducks, Anaheim Arena Management and H&S Ventures, the entity that manages the Samueli Family Office and the various other holdings of the Samuelis. He oversaw the financial teams for each of the operating entities of the Samueli family holdings and was responsible for all treasury, banking, strategic planning and taxes for the various companies.
Foltz joined H&S Ventures in 2015 and subsequently assumed the CFO roles for the operating companies in 2016. Early in his career he served the O’Malley family as CFO of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and subsequently joined Platinum Equity, LLC, a Beverly Hills private equity fund where he oversaw the initial fundraising effort in 2004, resulting in the largest first-time fund raise of that year. He then joined the Wonderful Companies, the holding company for consumer products companies Pom Wonderful, Wonderful pistachios and almonds, Halos mandarin oranges, Fiji Water and floral interchange Teleflora. While with the Wonderful Companies, he negotiated and closed the acquisition of the iconic Fiji Water company. Immediately prior to joining H&S Ventures, Foltz was CFO of Oakwood Worldwide, LLC, the world’s largest provider of temporary housing where he sourced, negotiated and closed a multi-billion dollar joint venture with Singapore’s Mapletree Investments.
ocV!BE Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce that Tom Alexander has been named the Vice President of Programming of ocV!BE in Anaheim, California. Opening in 2024, the proposed $3 billion mixed-use community will surround its anchor, Honda Center, with new live entertainment venues, dining and retail offerings, and public amenities. Starting December 13, Alexander will oversee and provide strategic leadership to the Programming department managing the booking process for concerts, shows, and non-NHL events for all proposed venues at ocV!BE including Honda Center.
Alexander brings over 25 years of artist engagement and touring experience to ocV!BE, most recently at the City of Tacoma, Washington, where he was the Booking Manager for the Tacoma Dome. Under Alexander’s programming strategy, the Tacoma Dome has hosted sell-out events with Garth Brooks, Elton John, Roger Waters, Fleetwood Mac, Twenty One Pilots, Eagles, and more. With his purposeful bookings, the Tacoma Dome has continuously been ranked within the Top 40 venues in the world for ticket sales in Billboard and Pollstar magazines.

Alexander’s career history encompasses a variety of positions within the industry. Early in his career, he worked within the A&R department for Sony Music Entertainment. He later dived into touring with a wide variety of artists, including Andrea Bocelli and most recently Roger Waters and Nickelback as the Assistant Tour Director and VIP Manager for Live Nation. In Spring of 2011, Alexander joined the booking team for Live Nation’s Southern Region and shortly after began his role as Booking Manager for Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas, before taking his role at the Tacoma Dome in 2013.

Bedier brings over 25 years of strategic vision and venue management expertise to ocV!BE. She comes from the City of Tacoma, Washington, where she was the Director of Venues & Events for Tacoma Dome, Greater Tacoma Convention Center, Cheney Stadium, Theater on the Square, and the Pantages and Rialto Theaters. Under Bedier’s leadership, Tacoma Venues & Events was honored with the 2019 Venue Excellence Award by the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). Also in 2019, the Tacoma Dome achieved its highest ever Pollstar ranking, #14 in North America and #24 in the world, and in 2020 the Greater Tacoma Convention Center was named a Top North American Venue by EXHIBITOR magazine.

Bedier previously served as the General Manager of Comcast Arena (now Angel of the Winds Arena) in Everett, WA. As General Manager, she founded and chaired the Western Hockey League Arena Advisory Committee, delivered multiple successful in-house concert promotions, and served as the Director of Western Canadian Business Development for Global Spectrum. During her tenure, Comcast Arena was awarded the inaugural IAVM Venue Excellence Award for Top Arena in 2010 and nominated for Pollstar Best New Concert Venue in 2004. Bedier has also held leadership roles at Toronto's Air Canada Centre (now Scotiabank Arena) and the Crystal Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and oversaw an international work crew at the Olympic Medals Plaza during the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Games.
Throughout her career, she has been honored and awarded by numerous high-profile organizations. Bedier’s career recognitions include being named to the inaugural class of Venues Today Women of Influence, Entertainment Venue Executive Luminary by Facilities & Events Management, Venue Executive of the Year by International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA), Ray W. ocV!BE has signed Premier Partnerships, an industry-leading sponsorship sales and consultancy agency, to assist in the evaluation and go-to-market commercial strategy for the recently announced ocV!BE, a 115-acre, mixed-use, sports and live entertainment district centered around Honda Center in the heart of Orange County.
Under the leadership of Bill Pedigo, Chief Commercial Officer for ocV!BE Sports and Entertainment, ocV!BE engaged Premier Partnerships at the end of 2019 to develop an evaluation of the district’s corporate partnership elements. Prior to the public launch, ocV!BE expanded the Premier relationship to assist in the corporate partnership sales efforts as the district seeks to secure a select and elite few, long-term Founding Partners. Premier Partnerships will complement the Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center, and Rinks existing corporate partnership sales teams in those efforts.

Mike Beteag, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer: Beteag will oversee technology needs for ocV!BE, Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center, The Rinks, and San Diego Gulls organizations. He brings almost 30 years of IT expertise, including his most recent role as Chief Technology Officer of H&S Ventures and CEO of Forebrain Technologies Inc.
Gina Galasso, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer: Galasso will be responsible for developing and executing all aspects of the human resources strategy to support the overall business plan and direction of ocV!BE. In Galasso’s previous role as Vice President of Human Resources, she oversaw all HR operations for the Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center, The Rinks, and San Diego Gulls. Galasso previously worked for the Walt Disney Company, Southern California Edison, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Ernst & Young, LLP.
Bill Pedigo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer: Pedigo will oversee all aspects of corporate partnership integration of ocV!BE. Pedigo and his team will be responsible for go-to-market efforts to identify like-minded partners and bring forth best-in-class activation. Pedigo will also continue to oversee the Anaheim Ducks, ARTIC, Honda Center, Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena, and San Diego Gulls corporate partnerships divisions. Previously, Pedigo had a significant impact during his time with the Anaheim Angels, AEG, Kansas City Chiefs, Nitro Circus, and Competitor Group.
Katie Rodin, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer: Rodin will manage the legal matters of the operations of ocV!BE, including the Entertainment Division consisting of Honda Center and new properties within the district and the Sports Division overseeing the Anaheim Ducks, The Rinks, and San Diego Gulls. Rodin will lead the organization’s operational legal activities, including legal strategies and initiatives, negotiating stakeholder agreements, managing the enterprise-wide deployment of legal services, collaborating with all business units, managing litigation, and ensuring compliance in all aspects of the organizations' operations. Rodin has served the sports and entertainment arm of Samueli owned companies since 2008 and brings with her an extensive background in real estate and financial transactions and corporate matters.
Kevin Starkey, Executive Vice President and Chief Venue Management Officer: Starkey is responsible for the operational considerations of the ocV!BE development as well as all venue-specific departments, including operations, security, food and beverage, event services, marketing, public relations, and ticketing. Starkey will provide critical operational and logistical input during the planning and developing stages of the district. In addition to Honda Center operations, Starkey oversees operations at ARTIC, Arena Corporate Center, The Rinks, Great Park Ice, and Powerline Properties. Starkey’s career in public facilities and arena management spans over 35 years, including 27 years with the Honda Center.
Aaron Teats, Executive Vice President, Sports Division: Teats serves as Executive Vice President of the newly created Sports Division, including the Anaheim Ducks, San Diego Gulls, and The Rinks. Within the Anaheim Ducks organization, he oversees the club's business operations, including all ticket operations, marketing, communications, community relations, broadcasting, entertainment, merchandise, fan development, multi-media, signature events, and business intelligence. Teats is in his 26th year with the Ducks, beginning his career within the broadcasting ranks in 1994.
Joe O’Toole, Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Development: O’Toole leads the land development of the project, including entitlement, design, permitting, budgeting, pre-construction, and construction. With 20 years of experience in development, finance, and investment banking, O’Toole will work with the ocV!BE’s consultant team of architects, engineers and economic advisors. Previously, he served as Public Storage's lead executive on a National Reinvestment Program and previously spent 16 years with the Irvine Company, focusing on capital markets and governmental affairs.
Bryce Waters, Senior Vice President, Real Estate Finance: Waters is responsible for the overall capitalization and financing of ocV!BE. Previously, Waters spent the majority of his 14-year career acquiring, developing, and financing over 20,000 apartments, 2.8 million square feet of office and industrial space, and 750 acres of single-family residential land (total capitalization over $10B). Waters joins ocV!BE after seven years working in the acquisitions and development group at the Irvine Company.
Matthew Hicks, Director, Government Relations: Hicks oversees government relations and policy initiatives, including the creation of strategies and plans to assist with the development of ocV!BE. In addition, Hicks assists with public relations and external messaging, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Hicks brings extensive experience in public affairs, including working for the Disneyland Resort and serving as a District Director in the CA State Assembly.
Ian Lopez, Director, Assets Management: Lopez will protect and enhance the value of the entire real estate portfolio by working closely with a wide range of internal and external departments that perform the day-to-day operation and financial optimization of assets. Since 2002, Lopez has participated in over $4.5 billion in real estate transactions. Throughout his career, he has managed the acquisition, development, valuation and asset management of commercial office, retail, multi-family, and industrial property types across the US for value-add, core, and opportunistic strategies.
ocV!BE, a $3 billion, 115-acre, mixed-use community and live entertainment district, is coming to Anaheim. An endeavor of the Samueli Family (owners of the Ducks), this sustainable and transit-oriented district is scheduled to open in 2024 and be fully completed by the 2028 Olympics when Honda Center hosts indoor volleyball.
ocV!BE will surround its anchor, Honda Center, the home of the Anaheim Ducks, with a full range of lifestyle and public amenities as well as live entertainment venues. This includes a new 6,000-capacity concert venue, a 68,000-square-foot food hall, a variety of restaurants and retail, two new hotels with 650 total rooms, a 325,000-square-foot office tower, three unique public plazas surrounding the Honda Center, 2,800 residential apartment units that will include a 15% dedication to affordable housing, 30 acres of open space and parks, and a network of pedestrian bridges and walkways, including a landmark bridge over Katella Avenue.
The proposed development will create nearly 13,000 construction jobs, 3,300 permanent jobs upon completion, and generate more than $2 billion in a one-time economic impact, according to an analysis conducted by the public finance and development economics firm, DTA. The project also will generate over $400 million in annual recurring economic impact. Revenue generated by the project will assist the City of Anaheim in its efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as enhance neighborhoods and public safety.
“ocV!BE will provide a live, work, and play community of a scale not seen in Orange County, with live entertainment events and activities year-round,” said Tim Ryan, CEO of newly created ocV!BE Sports & Entertainment, LLC, which will manage the development and operation of the district. Michael Schulman, Managing Director of the Samueli Family office, will serve as Executive Chairman of ocV!BE Sports & Entertainment.
A 2018 agreement between the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Ducks ownership, extending the team’s commitment to Anaheim for up to an additional 50 years, paved the way for a series of private acquisitions by ownership, leading to control of 115-acres surrounding Honda Center.
“The Master Plan of this 115-acre district will create a livable, balanced community that has long been envisioned for the Anaheim Platinum Triangle,” said Dan Young, lead master planner for the project. “ocV!BE will also link the district to the region’s broader assets including Angel Stadium and the Platinum Triangle, the growing Anaheim Resort District, and the largest Convention Center on the West Coast.”
ocV!BE will feature three unique public plazas surrounding Honda Center. The urban park plaza to the west, more than three acres in size, will be anchored by a new 6,000-capacity concert venue, a 68,000-square-foot food hall and a landscaped boulevard, the Paseo, featuring retail and dining opportunities. The southern-facing plaza will be a hub of activity focused on sports with elevated walkways providing ample opportunities for dining. The northern plaza will feature a collection of smaller club-style venues. In addition, ocV!BE features 20 acres of urban parks, including a 5-acre riverfront park providing ample space for community gatherings and special concerts and events.
ocV!BE’s Master Plan proposes more than 2,800 residential apartments, filling a critical need for housing in Orange County, and includes a commitment of 15% affordable housing units onsite. These residential communities will have full access to the entertainment and lifestyle amenities including 30 acres of open space and more than 3 miles of trails.
In addition, a new 325,000-square-foot office tower will attract top employers to Anaheim. When combined with other new and existing office buildings, the office campus will be over 825,000-square-feet and in close proximity to all of the district’s offerings. ocV!BE will also feature two new hotels with 650 total rooms, providing a unique hospitality choice in the Anaheim marketplace focused on lifestyle and entertainment for tourists and conventioneers.

ocV!BE embraces a transit-oriented community. The Master Plan integrates the existing transit center, known as ARTIC, into the broader district. By drawing more guests to ARTIC, ocV!BE will in turn increase transit ridership via Amtrak, Metrolink and bus providers serving all of Southern California. Ridesharing will also be thoughtfully designed into the project, with onsite pickup and drop-off areas.
ocV!BE is supported by a series of parking structures and increased road capacity, engineered to improve traffic flow and circulation. Development of a comprehensive traffic management plan is underway to alleviate many of the current circulation issues and accommodate the new uses. The proposed Master Plan will generate significantly fewer vehicle trips than what was previously studied and entitled for this project site.

The executive management team for ocV!BE, Orange County’s newest community, sports and entertainment district, was announced today. Members of the management team include Chief Executive Officer Tim Ryan, President & Chief Operating Officer Bill Foltz and Executive Director of Development Dan Young.
“We are thrilled to announce such a creative and experienced leadership team to direct this exciting project,” said Ducks Owners Henry and Susan Samueli, who funded and spearheaded the development. “We expect ocV!BE to be an important part of the fabric of Orange County for generations to come.”
Ryan will provide leadership over the development of ocV!BE while maintaining oversight of Honda Center, The Rinks facilities, and affiliated business entities, including the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club and the San Diego Gulls Hockey Club. He has more than 41 years of arena management and event creation experience, 27 of those years at Honda Center. He most recently served as the President/Chief Executive Officer of Anaheim Arena Management, LLC and the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, LLC. Ryan has recently led significant efforts in renovations and vital improvement projects around Honda Center, including the Grand Terrance Project that features the Shock Top Terrance and Anaheim Ducks Team Store.
Foltz will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and all corporate-wide business functions of ocV!BE, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal. His knowledge and experience spans over a 30-year career in professional sports, hospitality, private equity and consumer products. Foltz was previously the Chief Financial Officer for the Anaheim Ducks, Anaheim Arena Management and H&S Ventures. In his previous role, Foltz was responsible for the financial planning and execution of major projects and initiatives such as Honda Center’s backstage construction project, Great Park Ice and the Grand Terrace Project.
Young is currently leading the master planning of ocV!BE. He spent 16 years with the Irvine Community Development Company, including serving as president from 2007-16. He has also enjoyed a 20-year career in real estate development and consulting, which has included helping lead a recent development campaign focused on housing for the homeless. Young previously served 11 years on the Santa Ana City Council, including spending eight years as mayor.
